BOOK NEWS – FIRESIDE FOLKLORE UPDATE
Fireside Folklore
Hello, my folklore-loving friends!
I have some great news: after months of work, the first draft of Fireside Folklore is complete! The book is chock-full of ghosts, monsters, strange lore, witches and much, much more. If you enjoy my blog, you are certain to get a kick out of it. There are a few old favourites for you to revisit, alongside over 60% brand-new, previously unreleased content!
So, what’s next? Well, this is just the first draft. Before I can even consider sending it to my publishers, Llewellyn Worldwide, I must edit it, double-check the information and, where necessary, embellish it with some suitably spooky prose. After all, I want to leave you, my dear reader, with a lingering sense of unease!
There are probably a few more months of work in that alone. Then I can finally send the manuscript to the publishers, who will begin their own editing process and provide some constructive criticism. There is still plenty of work ahead, but I will keep you posted over the coming months as things progress.
Then comes the dreaded task of getting an author photograph taken to accompany the book. For someone like me, who is—how shall I put it?—not particularly photogenic, that really does fill me with horror!
Stay Spooky.
