NEW COVERS - THE WENDLELOW MYSTERIES
It is with some trepidation that I present to you the front covers for The Wendlelow Mysteries horror trilogy. I do hope you like them. They were created in Canva using stock images, a suitably folk-horror-esque font, and a parchment-style background.
But why the change?
When I first released the books, I had no idea how to produce a front cover. I used a computer-generated image, and it served me well for a while. Over time, however, I received feedback on the covers, and many people raised concerns about the use of computer generated artwork. As a result, I eventually decided to move to stock images, combined with an old-fashioned, folk-inspired font for the text.
I hope these new covers better capture the folklore, ancient legends, and creeping rural horror that lie at the heart of the books.
I have enclosed images of the new designs and the originals designs with this blog.
Thank you to everybody who took the time to give me feedback on my work. I really do appreciate it, and I am always trying to learn and improve what I do.
Stay Spooky,
Paul
